Commercially Available Brain Training Programs

Traffic Light System

Programs have been organised above into three categories; 

green – evidence in support of the training program’s efficacy

red – evidence against the training program’s efficacy

orange – no research available

Cicerone Levels of Evidence Quality

Evidence on the brain training programs, whether red or green, has been classified into three levels of evidence according to the Cicerone classification; Level I (RCTs), Level II (single RCT or multiple non-randomised studies) and Level III (observational studies). Level I is indicative of the strongest evidence.
